KNVB Beker: The KNVB Cup final in Netherlands which took place Sunday, May 3rd saw FC Groningen defeat PEC Zwolle by two goals to nil.
The winner of the KNVB Beke will directly qualify for the Europa League group stages, which is a new development as in previous seasons they qualified for the Europa League Play-offs.
Groningen’s Albert Rusnák scored on the 64th and 75th minutes to clinch the win for his club in the match played at the Stadion Feijenoord in Rotterdam.
The Groningen coach, Erwin van de Looi praised his players for their resilience as the win arrived later in the second half and reserved special words for the match winner, Rusnák for his goals.
