The Libyan Government has approved the payment of 400 dollars to each displaced Libyan family in Egypt and Tunisia during the coming 2015 Ramadan in June.
Government spokesman said the Council of Ministers disclosed the payment after its weekly meeting on Saturday in the eastern city of Beidha.
He said the council also decided to grant 42 million dollars for the Ministry of Health to pay the debts incurred by Libyan patients in Tunisia, Egypt and Jordan.
He said in addition, 21 million dollars was also approved for the Health Ministry for the treatment of Libyan patients within and outside the country.
Libya has been in turmoil since 2011 when a popular uprising saw the toppling of the regime of long-time leader Mouammar Gadhafi, forcing many Libyans to flee to safe havens outside the country. (PANA/NAN)
