A close ally of Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan, Elder Godsday Orubebe, whose is known in recent times for his now infamous action of disrupting the collation of 2015 presidential election results and nearly throwing the country into a political crisis, may have concluded plans to join the winning All Progressive Congress (APC).
The former Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs announced his intention to join the All Progressive Congress (APC) via a Twitter account (@ElderGOrubebe) purportedly belonging to him.
“I have concluded plans to join my folks in the APC to champion and sustain the movement for a better Niger Delta in the new administration.” he tweeted
Orubebe, who threw caution to the wind and accused the Independent National Electoral Commission chief, Prof. Attahiru Jega, of bias during the collation of presidential election results in March, said there was need for him to join the APC in order to make Niger Delta better in the new dispensation.
I have concluded plans to join my folks in the APC to champion and sustain the movement for a better Niger Delta in the new administration.
