UEFA confirms December 23 date for Qutar world cup.
FOOTBALL: The Union of European Football Associations, UEFA has confirmed that they had suggested a December 23rd date for the Qatar World Cup holding in 2022.
This was suggested after the FIFA Task Force recommended November/December date for the football event. UEFA officials said this is in line with the deliberations on how to make the 2022 world cup viable.
It was revealed however that European clubs will not receive any compensation over the proposed winter World Cup in Qatar.
